Jonathan Rothbaum is a research economist in the Census Bureau’s Social, Economic, and Housing Statistics Division.

A labor economist, Rothbaum – who joined the Census Bureau in 2013 - studies the use of administrative data in the estimation of income, resource, and well-being statistics, focusing on measurement error, nonresponse, and imputation. He also studies equality of opportunity and intergenerational mobility.

Rothbaum received a Ph.D. in economics from George Washington University in 2013.
