Demographer, U.S. Census Bureau

Jonathan Vespa is a demographer at the U.S. Census Bureau. His work examines the family dynamics of Americans as well as broader changes to the U.S. population. His work has appeared in numerous outlets, including professional journals, and he has co-authored reports on marriage and family, and young adulthood. He has appeared on television and radio to discuss the changing family experiences and the economic security of young adults.

Vespa received a doctorate degree in sociology from Ohio State University and a bachelor's degree from George Mason University in Fairfax, Va. Prior to joining the Census Bureau, he was a service fellow at the National Center for Health Statistics.
