Sandra Johnson is chief of the Population Evaluation, Analysis, and Projections Branch in the Population Division at the U.S. Census Bureau. Since joining the Census Bureau in 2012, Sandra has participated in a variety of programs, including national population projections, national population estimates and vital statistics estimates. Her research focuses on estimating and projecting fertility. She led the program management team for 2020 Demographic Analysis. Sandra is a member of the Southern Demographic Association Board and Federal Forecasters Consortium Board. She received a doctorate in sociology from Florida State University.
