Statement From Director Dillingham on S. Con. Res. 31 - 116th Congress (2019-2020)

Press Release Number: CB19-RTQ.11

DEC. 20, 2019 — U.S. Census Bureau Director Steven Dillingham offered the following statement on the passage of S. Con. Res. 31 by the U.S. Senate — a resolution on the importance of a complete and accurate count in the 2020 Census that encourages partners to share the message; individuals, families, and households to respond; and individuals to apply for temporary jobs.

"We thank the U.S. Senate for their outstanding unanimous 2020 Census resolution which demonstrates the bipartisan support we see across the country. We especially commend Sen. Schatz and Sen. Murkowski for their leadership, as well as U.S. Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Chairman Johnson and Ranking Member Peters. As the Senate has urged, we encourage everyone who is interested in helping ensure a complete and accurate count in the 2020 Census to apply for a job at 2020Census.gov/jobs or get involved as a partner at 2020Census.gov/partners.”
