DEC. 1, 2022 — The U.S. Census Bureau will offer a two-day embargo period for subscribers to view 2017-2021 American Community Survey (ACS) statistics before their public release.
Embargo subscribers will have access beginning Dec. 6 at 10 a.m. EST.
The ACS provides a wide range of statistics about the nation’s people and housing such as language spoken at home, education, commuting, employment, mortgage status and rent, income, poverty, and health insurance coverage. It is the only source of local estimates for most of the 40-plus topics it covers.
The five-year estimates will be available for all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, every congressional district, and all counties, places, census tracts, ZIP Code Tabulation Areas and block groups.
Tuesday, Dec. 6, at 10 a.m. EST to Thursday, Dec. 8, at 12:01 a.m. EST
Embargo subscribers may interview Census Bureau experts during the embargo period. To request an interview, email pio@census.gov.
