OCTOBER 12, 2023 — The U.S. Census Bureau today announced that the special tabulations program for the decennial census has resumed. The data-user community now has an opportunity to request 2020 Census data not included in a 2020 Census data product release. The data user making the request would cover the cost of producing the product.

Special tabulations based on 2020 Census data will have disclosure avoidance protections consistent with those used for the published 2020 Census data products. It may not be possible to fulfill some requests because they may exceed disclosure risk limits.
