August 15, 2023 — The U.S. Census Bureau today launched Phase 2 of the StatVentures Supply Chain Challenge. This challenge seeks innovative ideas to improve the way we provide supply chain data in support of the nation’s needs for critical goods and services. More specifically, the Census Bureau is seeking new and improved ways to capture more timely, granular and robust supply chain data, including information on manufacturing, imports and exports, transportation and delivery of goods, and other key components of global supply chains.
Through the Phase 2 competition, applicants are challenged to develop implementation roadmaps for their ideas to improve supply chain data. Submissions will be evaluated on overall quality, feasibility, value proposition, and innovation. U.S.-based individuals and teams are encouraged to apply, including companies, startups, individuals, academics and researchers. Please closely review the challenge rules for specific eligibility considerations.
A maximum of eight winners will be awarded monetary prizes with a total value of up to $350,000. Winners will also be invited to advance to Phase 3, where they will be challenged to test their roadmaps and produce real data.
StatVentures’ Supply Chain Challenge Phase 2 launches today. The submission window will open between October 13, 2023, and November 9, 2023.
