JUNE 29, 2023 - The U.S. Census Bureau will hold a webinar on July 12 to show members of the media how to find and use American Community Survey (ACS) data to strengthen and localize their stories. The webinar will provide an overview of the ACS and how to access ACS data in data.census.gov, QuickFacts, and other tools offered by the Census Bureau. It will also discuss media resources, including the ACS data user handbook for journalists.
The American Community Survey provides a wide range of statistics about the nation’s people and housing such as language spoken at home, education, commuting, employment, mortgage status and rent, income, poverty and health insurance coverage. It is the only source of local estimates for most of the 40-plus topics it covers.
Wednesday, July 12, 2023, at 2 p.m. ET.
The webinar will consist of a simultaneous audio conference and online presentation. Attendees do not need to call into the webinar to hear the audio. Credentialed media and data users will be able to ask questions during the webinar using the Q&A feature and after the presentation through audio.
