The Census Bureau discontinued the ACS Narrative Profiles (NP) on American FactFinder (AFF) in calendar year 2014, due to resource and technical constraints. The 2012 ACS 1-year and 3-year Narrative Profiles were the last releases of this product in AFF, and you can still access 2009, 2010, and 2011 ACS 1-year and 3-year Narrative Profiles in AFF.
Beginning in calendar year 2013 with the 2008-2012 ACS 5-year data release, 5-year Narrative Profiles are available as a Hot Report created by DataFerrett. The Narrative Profile is an automated report that produces short analytic text about a variety of topics. Fifteen different topic areas are covered in the Narrative Profile, for the geographic area you select. The Narrative Profile can then be used as a basic descriptive report about the social, economic, housing and demographic characteristics of that particular geographic area. You can access the Narrative Profiles on our website.
