This document describes the HUD-assisted oversample that was included in the 2015 to 2023 surveys. It includes information on the frame development, sample selection, and weighting.
Importantly, the proper use of the public use file variables related to the oversample is explained. These variables allow users to produce more precise estimates of characteristics of HUD-assisted units and households.
