Retail Sector Dispersion Statistics on Productivity (DiSP) Released

Today the U.S. Census Bureau and the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics released a new version of the experimental data product, Dispersion Statistics on Productivity (DiSP). The existing DiSP provide information on the within-industry dispersion in productivity at the 4-digit NAICS level for the manufacturing sector for 1987 to 2021. The new version of DiSP leverages data from the Economic Census to provide productivity dispersion statistics at the 4-digit NAICS level for the retail sector. The retail sector data are available every five years from 1987-2017.
