The Enterprise Statistics Program covers all or part of the following NAICS sectors:
Selected activities of governments are also in-scope, such as hospitals, liquor stores, and university press publishers.
Excluded Industries: The following industries are not covered in the Enterprise Statistics Program:

Enterprise data products provide statistics on foreign ownership or control, foreign affiliation, research and development expenses, operating revenues, royalties and license fees for the use of intellectual property, and manufacturing activity.
Enterprise Statistics data were collected as part of the Report of Organization Survey (COS). The program has been suspended.
During the economic census years (years ending in 2 and 7) the Enterprise Statistics Program sample is a representative sample of all employer enterprises with operations in the U.S. and the District of Columbia. It consists of two components: (1) All multi-establishment enterprises, and (2) a sample of single-establishment enterprises. Refer to the methodology section of each publication for more information.

The Enterprise Statistics Program provides enterprise-level data for statistical use in various economic programs. The Bureau of Economic Analysis and the Federal Reserve Board assess economic performance for enterprises. Researchers use the data to study trends in enterprises over time.
Enterprise Statistics data provide the only source of economy-wide company-level statistics and data to relate the activities of enterprises.
