TIGER/Line GeoPackages are spatial extracts from the Census Bureau’s Master Address File/Topologically Integrated Geographic Encoding and Referencing (MAF/TIGER) System for use with geographic information system (GIS) software. They are based on the Open Geospatial Consortium GeoPackage Encoding Standard. These files include a variety of national and state-based GeoPackages for geographic boundaries and features.
These GeoPackages do not include demographic data, but they contain geographic entity codes that can be linked to the Census Bureau’s demographic data, available on data.census.gov.
See the documentation for the description of geographic boundaries and features contained in each GeoPackage. Further details of the geographic boundaries and features can be found in the TIGER/Line Shapefiles technical documentation.
