TIGER/Line GeoPackage Documentation

TIGER/Line GeoPackages are spatial extracts from the Census Bureau’s Master Address File/Topologically Integrated Geographic Encoding and Referencing (MAF/TIGER) System for use with geographic information systems (GIS) software. They are based on the Open Geospatial Consortium GeoPackage Encoding Standard. The GeoPackages contain national coverage (for geographic boundaries or features) or state coverage (boundaries within state).

These GeoPackages do not include demographic data, but they contain geographic entity codes that can be linked to the Census Bureau’s demographic data, available on data.census.gov.

See the documentation for the description of geographic boundaries and features contained in each GeoPackage. Further details of the geographic boundaries and features can be found in the TIGER/Line Shapefiles technical documentation.
