2014 Panel Wave 2: Fertility History

There are roughly 200 person-level records in which a parent’s fertility history data are internally inconsistent, either with other fertility data or with demographics.

There are 26 person-level records in which members of a couple diverge in reports of whether theirs is a childbearing union.

There are 108 person-level records in which the two members of a childbearing couple report fertility histories that do not include a child’s birth year in common.  However, the majority of these reports include at least one birth that diverges by only a year, so we are assuming that these data are the result of discrepant parent reports.
