2019 SIPP: Some Marital History and Cohabiting Partner Inconsistencies

There are a small number of cases with inconsistent marital history and cohabiting partner information. When comparing 1) monthly spouse (EPNSPOUS_EHC) and cohabiting partner (EPNCOHAB_EHC) pointers across people in a household, 2) monthly marital status (EMS_EHC) information across months or with interview month marital status (EMS), or 3) interview month relationship to householder (ERELRPE) information with interview month cohabiting partner (EPNCOHAB) pointers, these inconsistencies may become apparent. Other associated variables may also be inconsistent.
