In 2025 SIPP data, the allocation rates for TNUMNRSUP and TNRTOTAMT are higher than in previous years due to changes in data editing. Beginning in the 2024 collection, respondents who were not separated or divorced during the reference period and who reported support payments to ex-spouses or ex-partners (TNUMEXSUP) were reassigned (logically imputed) to providing support to nonrelatives (TNUMNRSUP).  Data users should be aware of this when doing analysis of “other support paid to nonrelatives.”
