There are a small number of cases with inconsistent monthly relationships among household members. Inconsistencies may become apparent when comparing household members’ ERELRPE or RREL values to other relationship variables. Other relationship variables include parent pointers (EPNPAR1, RPNPAR1_EHC, EPNPAR2, RPNPAR2_EHC), type of parent (EPAR1TYP, RPAR1TYP_EHC, EPAR2TYP, RPAR2TYP_EHC), marital status (EMS, EMS_EHC), spouse pointers (EPNSPOUS, EPNSPOUS_EHC), cohabiting partner pointers (EPNCOHAB, EPNCOHAB_EHC), and family type (RFAMKIND).

Inconsistencies can include nonreciprocal or missing pointers or discrepancies in the presence of Type 2 people at a certain month.
