The Census Bureau releases the official health insurance report each year in September. This is based on the Annual Social and Economic Supplement to the Current Population Survey (CPS ASEC) from the previous calendar year. 

Additional health insurance estimates from the American Community Survey (ACS), Survey of Income and Program Participation (SIPP), Small Area Health Insurance Estimates Program (SAHIE), and Historical Censuses are released on varying timeframes.
