PC (Windows) Version Instructions

  • Copy the zip file x13asall_V1.1_B57.zip (or x13as_V1.1_B57.zip, if you only want the program) to the drive where you want to install X-13ARIMA-SEATS.
  • Uncompress the file - the program will be stored within the x13as subdirectory.

To install the Icon programs:

  • copy the zip file toolsX13.zip into the same folder as the X-13ARIMA-SEATS program file.
  • Uncompress the file - the utilities will be stored within the tools subdirectory.

Component ID: #ti1995001796

Linux/Unix Version Instructions

  • Download one of the compressed archives (such as x13asall.tar.gz).
  • Expand the contents of the file using the tar utility, using the following command:
    tar -xzvf x13asall.tar.gz

Note that the executable that is stored in the distribution file was compiled on a Linux system - it may not run on your machine. If this is the case, download the x13assrc.tar.gz file, uncompress the source code and compile it - you will need a Fortran compiler on your Unix/Linux system.

Also note that if you save the x13asall.tar.gz file to a windows machine and then move the downloaded file to a Linux machine, the x13asall.tar.gz file may not retain the .gz part of the file extension. However the file even without that extension will uncompress and extract the required files as per instructions.
