There are a number of reasons why a table may not be available for the American Community Survey (ACS) 5-year estimates:
- We do not have five years' worth of data for some variables, thus the tables cannot be produced. For example, bachelor's field of degree was added to the 2009 ACS, and this topic was not available in the 5-year estimates until the 2009-2013 ACS 5-year data release in 2014.
- The 1-year estimates may provide both a Base Table and Collapsed version of a table. However, the 5-year estimates may have either the Base Table or the Collapsed Table, not both.
- We occasionally replace or discontinue products. Visit the Table & Geography Changes page to learn more about new, modified, and deleted tables for each release.
Visit the Table Shells and Table List page to learn which tables are available for the 1-year or 5-year data releases.
