This report presents projections of the white and nonwhite population of the United States by age and sex from 1965 to 1985, which are consistent with the projections of the total population by age and sex previously pub­lished in Current Population Reports, Series P-25, No. 329. These projections are prelimi­nary; they will be modified shortly to take ac­count of changes recorded for 1965-66.
