This report presents statistics for workers 16 years old and over classified by place of residence and place of work for standard metropolitan statistical areas (SMSA's) of 250,000 or more and their constituent parts. The statistics are based on the 1970 Census
of Population.

The text consists of an introduction and Appendices A through E, which appear after the tables.

Content of the Tables

Table 1 presents data on the workplace of workers who either reside or work in each SMSA of 250,000 or more.

Table 2 presents information on selected social and economic characteristics of workers for each SMSA of 250,000 or more.
