Privately financed apartments completed during the July-September 1979 quarter were 81 percent absorbed (seasonally adjusted) 3 months after their completion. This is about the same, as the seasonally adjusted rate of 80 percent for apartments completed during the second quarter of 1979. The nonseasonally adjusted rate of 83 percent does not differ significantly from the seasonally adjusted rate, Apartments which have been on the market for 9 months-those completed during January-March 1979-were 99 percent absorbed (see table 3).
