Perfect Score is 31 But Every Game is Different
The 2018 FIFA World Cup RussiaTM is over and France was crowned world champion after beating Croatia Sunday. Belgium beat England for third place.
This 21st edition of the world’s greatest football tournament has ended but you can keep playing in the World Cup Population Bracketology game.
World Cup Population Bracketology
Our game features all 32 countries that participated in the 2018 World Cup. For each game, four teams are randomly assigned to each of the eight groups.
The goal is to pick the winner of each pair — meaning the country with the larger population. Play each round of the bracket through the final game.
Earn one point for each correct pick (highlighted in green) and zero for each wrong pick (highlighted in red). Try to run up your score to the maximum 31 (yes, with 32 teams there are 31 matches if every match is a knockout).
When you are finished, play again or mouse over countries to view the populations, in thousands, for each pair.
