The present study compared usability between two label designs for a logout button: “Logout” vs. “Save& Logout.” The findings show that most participants who saw the label of “Save& Logout” would choose to logout the survey and think that survey data are saved, while about half of those seeing “Logout” would choose to logout the survey, and a quarter think that survey data are saved; all participants prefer the “Save and Logout” button over the “Logout” button.
