The Census Bureau identified a problem in the collection of data on the availability and type of internet service in Scranton city, Pennsylvania in 2023. The data collection problem occurred during a limited number of computer-assisted personal interviews only.
As a result, 2023 ACS 1-year data products containing estimates of detailed internet service have been removed or suppressed for Scranton city and its nested geographies. A list of affected geographies is available to download.
The data products removed or suppressed for these specific geographies are: B28002, B28008, and B28011. A portion of S2801 was also affected.
Additionally, variables for types of internet service, BROADBND, HISPEED, OTHSVCEX, SATELLITE, and DIALUP, have been suppressed for affected geographies in the 2023 ACS 1-year Public Use Microdata Sample (PUMS).
