A processing error was identified in the 2018-2022 ACS 5-Year PUMS PUMA Update Files. A small number of records contained incorrect combinations of 2020 state and PUMA codes. This issue is limited to records originally from survey year 2018 that were included in the crosswalked files.

The affected files will be temporarily removed from the Census Bureau’s website and corrected versions will be released at a later date. This error does not affect the 2019–2023 5-year PUMS data released in January 2025.
