Petersburg Census Area, Alaska (02-195) had a legal status change resulting in name change to Petersburg Borough, Alaska (02-195), and added some territory from Hoonah-Angoon Census Area.  Its FIPS State and County code remains the same.

Bedford City, Virginia changed its legal status to town, ending its independent city status (county equivalent), and was absorbed as a municipality within Bedford County, Virginia.  Its former FIPS State and County code 51-515 has ceased to exist.
