Two new Subject Tables provide Class of Worker estimates and percentages by sex and median earnings for the past 12 months. Estimates of women’s earnings as a percentage of men’s earnings are also included.
Subject Table S2418 provides estimates for the civilian employed population 16 years and over with earnings.
Subject Table S2419 provides estimates for the full-time, year-round civilian employed population 16 years and over with earnings.
Computer and Internet
Two new Subject Tables provide estimates and percentages of Types of Computers and Internet Subscriptions S2801 and Internet Subscriptions by Selected Characteristics S2802 by demographic, social, and economic characteristics.
Educational Attainment
A new Subject Table S1502 provides estimates and percentages of Bachelor’s Field of First Degree for First Major by sex and detailed age.
Health Insurance
Two new Subject Tables provides estimates and percentages of Private Health Insurance Coverage by Type S2703 and Public Health Insurance Coverage by Type S2704 by demographic, social, and economic characteristics.
Housing
A new Detailed Table B25031 provides estimates for median gross rent by number of bedrooms for renter-occupied housing units paying cash rent. The table displays a median for categories ranging from ‘no bedrooms’ to ‘5 or more bedrooms’.
Industry
Two new Subject Tables provide Industry estimates and percentages by sex and median earnings for the past 12 months. Estimates of women’s earnings as a percentage of men’s earnings are also included.
Subject Table S2413 provides estimates for the civilian employed population 16 years and over with earnings.
Subject Table S2414 provides estimates for the full-time, year-round civilian employed population 16 years and over with earnings.
Occupation
Two new Subject Tables provide Occupation estimates and percentages by sex and median earnings for the past 12 months. Estimates of women’s earnings as a percentage of men’s earnings are also included.
Subject Table S2411 provides estimates for the civilian employed population 16 years and over with earnings.
Subject Table S2412 provides estimates for the full-time, year-round civilian employed population 16 years and over with earnings.
Relationship
A new Detailed Table B09021 provides living arrangement estimates by age for adults 18 years and over.
Modified Tables
Class of Workers
Subject Tables S2408 and S2409 were modified to include tally estimates along with the percentages for “Total”, “Male”, and “Female.” The Median Earnings portion of the tables was removed and is now available in S2418 and S2419.
Disability
Subject Table S1810 was modified to include detailed Age and detailed Age by Disability Type.
Educational Attainment
Subject Table S1501 was modified to include tally estimates to the percentages for “Total”, “Male”, and “Female.” Also added to this table is a section on detailed Race and Hispanic Origin by Educational Attainment.
Employment Status; Work Status
Subject Table S2301 was modified to include detailed Age and expanded Relationship categories. Two column titles were changed to be more descriptive; “In Labor Force” is now “Labor Force Participation” and “Employed” is now “Employment/Population Ratio.”
Subject Table S2302 was modified to include tally estimates to the percentages for “Total” and “Families with Own Children Under 18 years.” The table was also modified to include an expanded Work Status by Married-couple families section.
Subject Table S2303 was modified to include tally estimates along with the percentages for “Total”, “Male”, and “Female.” The table was also modified to include an expanded section for detailed Weeks Worked by Hours Worked, and estimates of “Median age of workers 16 to 64 years” and “Workers 16 to 64 years who worked full-time, year-round”.
The Data Profile for Selected Economic Characteristics DP03 and the Iterated Selected Population Profiles S0201 and S0201PR were modified to change the description labels from “Percent Unemployed” and “Percent of Civilian Labor Force” to “Unemployment Rate”.
Foreign Born
The foreign-born section of Detailed Table B05002 was modified to list Regions of Birth for each Foreign-born Citizenship category.
Detailed Table B05007 was modified to add a total Foreign-born Population section.
Subject Tables S0501, S0502, S0503, S0504, S0505, and S0506 were modified to change “Households with no one age 14 and over who speaks English only or speaks English ‘very well” to “Limited English Speaking Households.”
Health Insurance
Subject Table S2701 was modified to expand the detailed Age and Ratio of income to poverty level sections and add a Living Arrangement section. The Health Insurance by Type section was removed and is now available in new Subject Tables S2703 and S2704.
Households and Families; Relationship
Region (020), Division (030), and Congressional Districts (500) summary levels were added for Median Age of First Marriage and Marital History Detailed Tables B12007, B12501, B12502, B12503, B12504, and B12505. Region (020) and Division (030) summary levels were added for Median Age at First Marriage Race-Iterated Detailed Tables B12007A-I.
Fifty-nine tables were modified to change the labels of “own child” or “related child” to more descriptive “own child of the householder” or “related child of the householder.”
Seven tables B10001, S1002, S0201, DP02, DP02PR, CP02, CP02PR were modified to change the labels “living with grandchildren” and “responsible for grandchildren” to “grandparents living with grandchildren” and “grandparents responsible for grandchildren.”
Housing
Tables with year-based distributions for Year Structure Built were expanded to “2014 or later” from the previous upper category of “2010 or later.”
Median Tables B25035, B25037, and B25039 also include the new top code of “2015 or later” in the distribution of the median.
Derived Products also modified include DP04, CP04, R2504, S2502, and GCT2504.
The upper category of the Rent distributions have expanded to “$3,500 or more” for the following tables: B25056, B25061, and B25063.
Median Tables B25031, B25058, B25064, B25111, and B25113 also include a new top code of “$3,500 or more” in the distribution of the median.
The Data Profile for Housing Characteristics DP04 and the Comparison Profile for Housing Characteristics CP04 include a new upper category of “$3,000 or more” in the rent distribution from “$1,500 or more.”
Detailed Table B25068 was modified to increase the upper category rent distribution per bedroom to “$1,500 or more” from “$1,000 or more.”
The upper category of the Housing Value distributions was expanded to “$2 million or more” from “$1 million or more” for B25075, B25085, and B25096.
Median Tables B25077, B25083, B25097, B25107, and B25109 also include the new top code of “$2 million of more” in the distribution of the median.
The upper distribution category for Selected Monthly Owner Costs with a Mortgage in Detailed Tables B25087 and B25094 was modified to “$4,000 or more” from the previous upper distribution category of “$2,000 or more.”
The upper distribution category for the Data Profile for Housing Characteristics DP04 and the Comparison Profile for Housing Characteristics CP04 was expanded to “$3,000 or more” from “$2,000 or more.”
The upper category of the Selected Monthly Owner Cost without a Mortgage distributions in Detailed Table B25087 was modified to “$1,500 or more” from “$700 or more.”
Median Table B25088 also includes the new top code of $1,500 or more” in the distribution of the median.
The upper category of the Monthly Housing Costs sections in S2503 and S2506 was modified to “$3,000 or more” from “$2,000 or more.”
The upper category of the Monthly Housing Costs sections in S2507 was modified to ”$1,500 or more” from “$700 or more.”
Industry
Subject Tables S2403 and S2404 were modified to include tally estimates along with the percentages for “Total”, “Male”, and “Female.” The Median Earnings portion of the tables were removed and are now available in S2413 and S2414.
Language
Subject Tables S1601, S1602, and S1603 were modified to include tally estimates along with the percentages for “Total”, “Speak English only or speak English “very well”, and “Speak English less than “very well.”
Column titles were changed to be more descriptive in Subject Table S1601; “Speak English “very well” is now “Speak English only or speak English “very well” and “Speak English less than “very well” is now “Speak English only or speak English “very well.”
Subject Table S1602 column title was changed from “No one age 14 and over speaks English only or speaks English “very well” to “Limited English-speaking households.”
Column titles were changed to be more descriptive in Subject Table S1603; “People who speak only English at home” is now “Speak a language other than English at home” and “Spanish or Spanish Creole” is now “Speak Spanish at home.”
Occupation
Subject Tables S2401 and S2402 were modified to include tally estimates along with the percentages for “Total”, “Male”, and “Female.” The Median Earnings portion of the tables were removed and are now available in S2411 and S2412.
Poverty
Subject Table S1701 was modified to include Poverty estimates by Living Arrangements and by detailed Age for Unrelated individuals for whom poverty status is determined. The table was also modified to expand the sections on detailed age and the Ratio of income to poverty.
Subject Table S1702 was modified to include detailed Age for Related children of the householder who are under 18. New sections were also added for Number of own children of the householder under 18 and Ratio of income to poverty for all families.
School Enrollment
Subject Table S1401 was modified to include tally estimates along with the percentages for “Total”, “In Public School”, and “In Private School.” This Subject Table also has an expanded section on detailed Age by Enrollment Status.
Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP); Food Stamps
Subject Table S2201 was modified to include tally estimates along with the percentages for “Total”, “Households Receiving SNAP/Food Stamps”, and “Households Not Receiving SNAP/Food Stamps”. A section on detailed Household Type was also added.
Veterans
Subject Table S2101 was modified to include tally estimates along with the percentages for “Total”, “Veterans”, and “Nonveterans”.
Deleted/Removed Tables
Grandparents as Caregivers; Households and Families
Detailed Tables B10060, B10061 and B11012 have been deleted. Detailed tables B10050 and B11001 are available alternatives.
Households and Families; Marital Status; Fertility
Detailed Tables B12005 and B13001 have been deleted. Detailed tables B25011 and B13002 are available alternatives.
