New Tables

Foreign-Born Population
  • A new table on place of birth shows year of entry among the foreign-born population for the nine largest country of birth groups B05015. The table provides estimates for year of entry 2010 or later and for year of entry before 2010.
Health Insurance
  • A new subject table S2713 provides subsidized marketplace coverage estimates for the civilian noninstitutionalized population, by the following three age categories: Under 19, 19 to 64, and 65 and older. Estimates are available for nation, states, and combined statistical areas (CSAs).  This table is similar in structure and format as Subject Table S2703.
Households and Families
  • Detailed table B11008 provides information about cohabiting couples that reside with the under 18 and never married biological children, stepchildren, or adopted children of the householder.
  • A new Detailed Table B11012 shows married couple, cohabiting couple, female householder, no spouse or partner present, and male householder, no spouse or partner present households by the presence of relatives and own children under 18 years.
Quality Measures
  • Detailed Table B98003 shows the unweighted total population sample for nation, states, counties, and places.

Modified Tables

Age and Sex
  • Row labels were changed from “Female householder, no husband present” to “Female householder, no spouse present” for tables S0102, S0102PR, S0103, and S0103PR.
Disability
  • A row label for table S1811 was changed from “Worked at home” to “Worked from home”.
Educational Attainment
  • Subject Table S1501 now includes the estimate for high school graduate or higher and bachelor’s degree or higher for the population 25 years and older, the female population 25 years and older and the male population 25 years and older.
Employment
  • Row labels for tables B23007 and C23007 were changed from “Married-couple family” to “Opposite-sex married couple family.” Also, row labels were changed from “Male householder, no wife present” and “Female householder, no husband present” to “Male householder, no spouse present” and “Female householder, no spouse present”, respectively. These changes were made to demonstrate more accurately and clearly the type of married couples included.
  • Row labels for table B23009 were changed from “Male householder, no wife present” and “Female householder, no husband present” to “Male householder, no spouse present” and “Female householder, no spouse present”, respectively.
  • Row labels for table S2302 were changed from “Male householder, no wife present” and “Female householder, no husband present” to “Male householder, no spouse present” and “Female householder, no spouse present”, respectively.
Fertility
  • Detailed Table B13004 was renamed from “Women 15 to 50 Years Who Had a Birth in the Past 12 Months by Marital Status” to “Women 15 to 50 Years Who Had a Birth in the Past 12 Months by Presence of Spouse or Unmarried Partner.” The table was modified to focus on the presence of a spouse or partner in the household rather than on marital status.
Foreign-Born Population
  • Row labels were changed from to “Male householder, no wife present” and “Female householder, no husband present” to “Male householder, no spouse present” and “Female householder, no spouse present”, respectively. This change affects the following Subject Tables: S0501, S0502, S0502PR, S0503, S0504, S0505, S0506.
  • Detailed Table B05006 was modified to include the following country of birth groups: Congo, Democratic Republic of Congo (Zaire), Micronesia, Senegal, Uganda, and Zimbabwe. Also, the row label for “Macedonia” was changed to “North Macedonia (Macedonia)”.
Health Insurance
  • Row labels were changed from to “Male householder, no wife present” and “Female householder, no husband present” to “Male householder, no spouse present” and “Female householder, no spouse present”, respectively for Detailed Tables B27021 and C27021.
  • Row labels were changed from to “Male householder, no wife present” and “Female householder, no husband present” to “Male reference person, no spouse present” and “Female reference person, no spouse present”, respectively for Subject Table S2701.
Housing
  • Row labels were changed from “Male householder, no wife present” and “Female householder, no husband present” to “Male householder, no spouse present” and “Female householder, no spouse present,” respectively.
  • Detailed Tables modified to include these changes are B25011 and B25115.
  • Subject Table S2501 was also modified with these changes. 
Income and Earnings
  • Row labels were changed from “Male householder, no wife present” and “Female householder, no husband present” to “Male householder, no spouse present” and “Female householder, no spouse present”, respectively.
  • Detailed Tables modified to include these changes are: B19126, B19128, B19130, B19131, C19131.
  • Subject Table S1903 was also modified. 
  • Row labels were changed from “2 workers, husband and wife worked” and “3 or more workers, husband and wife worked” to “2 workers, both spouses worked” and “3 or more workers, both spouses worked”, respectively for tables B19129 and S1902

  • Rows were added to Detailed Table B12504 for “Opposite-sex spouse” and “Same-sex spouse.”
Poverty Status
Relationship; Households and Families
  • Row labels were changed from to “Male householder, no wife present” and “Female householder, no husband present” to “Male householder, no spouse present” and “Female householder, no spouse present”, respectively for Tables B09002, B09010, B11001, B11001A-I, B11002, B11002A-I, B11003, B11004, B11005, C11005, B11006, B11011, CP02, CP02PR, DP02, DP02PR, S0201, S0201PR, S0901, S0902, and S1101.
  • Rows in Detailed Table B09005 for family and nonfamily households were eliminated. A row for cohabiting couple households was added.
  • Detailed Tables B09019 and B09020 and Collapsed Table C09019 were modified to no longer differentiate between people living in family and nonfamily households.
  • Rows were added to B09019 for “Opposite-sex spouse,” “Same-sex spouse,” “Opposite-sex unmarried partner,” and “Same-sex unmarried partner.”
  • Detailed Table B11009 was renamed from “Unmarried-Partner Households by Sex of Partner” to “Coupled Households by Type.” Rows were added to include detailed information on married couple households by sex of the householder and sex of the spouse.
  • Lines for “Cohabiting couple household” and cohabiting couple household “With own children of the householder under 18 years” were added to the “Households by Type” section of Comparison Profiles CP02 and CP02PR and Data Profiles DP02 and DP02PR. Additionally, lines were added to separate the “Living alone” category in this section by sex. In the “Relationship” section, the line “unmarried partner” was moved to the line after “spouse” and the line “Nonrelatives” was changed to “Other nonrelatives.”
  • Iterated Selected Population Profiles S0201 and S0201PR were modified to move the “unmarried partner” line to the line after “spouse” and change the line “Nonrelatives” to “Other nonrelatives” in the “Relationship” section.
Transfer Programs
  • Row labels were changed from to “Male householder, no wife present” and “Female householder, no husband present” to “Male householder, no spouse present” and “Female householder, no spouse present”, respectively for tables B22002B22007 and S2201.

Deleted Tables

Relationship
  • Detailed Table B09008 and Collapsed Table C09008 have been deleted. Detailed table B09021 is available as an alternative.
