Starting with the collection of the 2020 survey year in March 2021, the Annual Retail Trade Survey (ARTS) will no longer collect data from respondents on estimated end-of-year accounts receivable from U.S. retail firms. This change is being made since an internal review revealed the data did not meet the Census Bureau's quality standards. Because of this, the Estimated End-of-Year Accounts Receivable of U.S. Retail Firms by Type of Account and Kind of Business data table will not be published for survey year 2020 or in future survey years. The previously released accounts receivable data will still be available to data users and can be found here.
