Business Enterprise Research and Development (BERD) Survey - Discontinued
The Business Enterprise Research and Development (BERD) Survey was discontinued after the 2024 survey year. The data previously collected on the BERD survey are now collected as part of the Annual Business Survey (ABS).
The BERD is conducted jointly by the U.S. Census Bureau and the U.S. National Science Foundation and is the primary source of information on research and development performed or funded by businesses within the U.S.
