Dispersion Statistics on Productivity (DiSP) Released

Today, the U.S. Census Bureau and the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics released Dispersion Statistics on Productivity (DiSP), a new experimental data product.  The DiSP data provide information on within-industry dispersion in productivity at the 4-digit NAICS industry level for the manufacturing sector from 1997-2015.

DiSP includes three productivity measures: output per hour, value added per worker (forthcoming), and multifactor productivity. For each measure, we provide the following within-industry dispersion measures:  standard deviation, interquartile range, and inter-decile range (90-10).  For more information and to access the data, visit the DiSP website.
