The file names for the 2010 Census Urban Areas Reference Maps are composed as follows:

DC10<type><uuuuu>_<###>.pdf

where:

<type> = 2 character urban area type indicator

• 'UA' indicates Urbanized Area
• 'UC' indicates Urban Cluster

<uuuuu> = 5 digit UA or UC code

<###> = map sheet number

• '000' = Index sheet
• '001' – '999' = Map sheets
• Omission of the map sheet number indicates a bundled PDF (all map sheets for a given entity are included in a single PDF document).

Example file names:

DC10UC00388_001.pdf = Urban Cluster 00388 (Ada, OH), map sheet 1

DC10UA04843_000.pdf = Urbanized Area 04843 (Baltimore, MD), index sheet

DC10UA04843_004.pdf = Urbanized Area 04843 (Baltimore, MD), map sheet 4

DC10UA04843.pdf = Urbanized Area 04843 (Baltimore, MD), all map sheets in a single bundled PDF document

NOTE:  For Puerto Rico only, when ‘SP’ is included as part of the filename (DC10UASP and DC10UCSP), it indicates the Spanish version of the map.
