Sponsored by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Health Resources and Services Administration, the National Sample Survey of Registered Nurses examines the characteristics of registered nurses and their experiences in the nursing field. The U.S. Census Bureau is responsible for the NSSRN data collection. The survey is in its twelfth cycle. The 2026 NSSRN is the third administration of the survey by the Census Bureau.
