Sponsored by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Health Resources and Services Administration, the National Sample Survey of Registered Nurses examines the characteristics of registered nurses and their experiences in the nursing field. The U.S. Census Bureau is responsible for the NSSRN data collection. The 2026 survey was its twelfth cycle and the third administration of the survey conducted by the Census Bureau.
