In a previous user note (//www.census.gov/programs-surveys/sipp/tech-documentation/user-notes/real-estate-dependent-care-and-vehicles-topical-module-usernote.html), it was reported that an error in the calculation of the secured debt recode (THHSCDBT) and the total household debt recode (THHDEBT) had been fixed for Wave 10 of the 2008 Panel. While this correction was made to internal files, it was not made to the public use file.
All the public use files for Wave 10 of the 2008 Panel now contain the correct values for THHSCDBT and THHDEBT.
