There was a processing error in the “any miscellaneous income” receipt status flag (AMINC_ANY). Status flag values assigned “3” (logical imputation) should have been assigned values of “1” (in universe, as reported). Data users should recode AMINC_ANY=3 to AMINC_ANY=1. This error is present in the 2014 SIPP Panel and 2018, 2019, and 2020 SIPP data files.
