Ownership characteristics are captured in the Survey of Business Owners (SBO) and the Annual Survey of Entrepreneurs (ASE).  Starting with the 2017 survey year, the two surveys merged with the BRDIS-M survey to create the Annual Business Survey (ABS).  The ownership characteristics captured include but are not limited to:

• Race and Ethnicity
• Sex
• Veteran Status
