The Census Bureau Higher Education Consortium (CBHEC) is a nationwide network dedicated to strengthening how the U.S. Census Bureau partners with the full spectrum of higher education institutions. It is designed for colleges and universities seeking to expand their use of Census Bureau data and strengthen statistical literacy on their campuses. The consortium supports institutions aiming to enrich teaching, research, and project‑based learning; build connections with peer institutions; and participate in a national network committed to innovation, collaboration, and preparing the next generation of data professionals.

The CBHEC is organized into geographic regional networks that allow institutions to join a broader consortium while also participating in joint activities within their region. The following institutions have officially joined the CBHEC through the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement with the Census Bureau. Many other institutions are also actively engaged in this effort without this formal agreement.
