County Business Patterns: 2013

This series includes the number of establishments, employment during the week of March 12, first quarter payroll, and annual payroll. CBP datasets are downloadable files in comma-separated value (CSV) format. In addition, corresponding record layouts and reference files are available.

Data User Notice posted on May 19, 2016: Industry Coverage for 2012 and 2013 ZIP Code Business Patterns by Employment Size Class has been updated to include 2- through 6- digit NAICS code levels for all sectors with published data.

Data User Notice posted on February 9, 2016: Census Bureau staff identified a processing error that affects selected data from the 2012 and 2013 County Business Patterns (CBP). As a result, we revised 2012 and 2013 employment and payroll totals in the Educational Services sector (Sector 61) for the following geographies: Massachusetts; New Mexico; Boston-Cambridge-Newton, MA-NH metro area; Albuquerque, NM metro area; Middlesex County, MA; and Bernalillo County, NM. This processing error did not affect other sectors or states.
