How do I cite or source American Community Survey (ACS) data?

Our data tables, visualizations, reports and other products are freely available for public use. You do not need permission to use American Community Survey data. For creating citations, check out our Citing Our Internet Information page. Additionally, if you retrieve data through data.census.gov, there is a citation button along the top of each table under “More Tools” that will automatically create citations for the table you have open.
