This report presents four series of pro­jections of the population of the United States, by age and sex, for 1960 to 1980. The fig­ures are not offered as predictions of the future size of the population but indicate rather the approximate future level and age-sex composition of our population under given al­ternative assumptions as to future fertility, mortality, and net immigration.
