Requesting a Census Data API Key
The Census Bureau now requires an API key for all queries made to the Census Data Application Programming Interface (API). This change affects every user of the Census Data API. The API key is a security measure that protects both the Census Bureau and you, our data users. Watch this video to learn how to get your key, activate it, and use it within your API queries.
