  • Preliminary numbers for CY 2000:
    • Current Population Survey (CPS) estimated 25M.
    • The Medicaid Statistical Information System (MSIS) estimated 38.8M.
  • There is a substantial undercount in the CPS relative to MSIS (in this case 64%).
