This is a report on a diagnosis of question problems on the revised Food and Nutrition Service (FNS) Supplement for the April 1995 Current Population Survey (CPS). Problems were diagnosed on the basis of behavior coding 35 of 37 interviews carried out by four experienced CPS interviewers on a purposively chosen convenience sample. Interviewer debriefing comments were also taken into account in diagnosing problems and proposing solutions. In addition to an analysis of question problems, the report includes a description of behavior coding, rules for coding the interviews, and a proposed revised questionnaire.
