Census Bureau to Announce National 2025 Income, Poverty and Health Insurance Coverage Statistics

The U.S. Census Bureau is scheduled to hold an online news conference to announce the findings of three reports estimating income, poverty and health insurance coverage in the United States.

The reports — Income in the United States: 2025, Poverty in the United States: 2025, and Health Insurance Coverage in the United States: 2025 — provide national statistics from the Census Bureau’s Current Population Survey Annual Social and Economic Supplement (CPS ASEC).

  • National 2025 income statistics. Annual income, earnings and inequality estimates that can be used to evaluate national economic trends and their effect on the well-being of households, families and individuals.
  • National 2025 poverty statistics. Annual official poverty and Supplemental Poverty Measure (SPM) estimates to help gauge the economic well-being of households, families and individuals based on official poverty measure and SPM rates.
  • National 2025 health insurance coverage statistics. Annual national-level health insurance coverage estimates highlighting coverage trends and examining health insurance status by selected characteristics to better understand the well-being of individuals.

A question-and-answer session will immediately follow the presentation.

The Census Bureau plans to post the reports, data tables and news release to the Income, Poverty and Health Insurance press kit online shortly after the news conference begins. 

Access

The news conference will be held online on the Webex by Cisco platform. The webinar will consist of a simultaneous audio conference and online presentation. Attendees do not need to call into the webinar to hear the audio. Attendees are asked to pre-register.

Credentialed media will be able to ask questions after the presentation utilizing Webex’s direct message feature. Responses will be provided verbally during the webinar.
