Leading up to the annual release of new datasets, the Census Bureau publishes a schedule, notes about new estimates or new guidance, and technical information about geography and product changes. Users can also browse the notes from previous years using the tabs below.
The 2013 ACS data release marks the first time estimates for the new Metropolitan and Micropolitan Statistical Areas (Core Based Statistical Areas - CBSAs) are available. These geographic areas use the February 2013 Metropolitan and Micropolitan Statistical Areas (CBSAs) of the United States and Puerto Rico definitions, based on 2010 Census results.
