Our surveys provide periodic and comprehensive statistics about the nation. This data is critical for government programs, policies, and decision-making.
One new Geographic Comparison table (GCT2801) has also been added. Table GCT2801 shows comparisons of various geographies by the percentage of households with a broadband internet subscription.
Computer ownership and internet subscription have also been added to the Data Profiles (DP02, DP02PR) and Comparison Profiles (CP02, CP02PR).
Group Quarters
Two new Subject Tables, S2602 and S2603, have replaced table S2601B.
Table S2602 provides estimates for the characteristics of the adult correctional facility, nursing facility/skilled nursing facility, and college/university housing populations at the national and state levels. This is the first time these ACS estimates will be available at the state level.
Table S2603 provides estimates for the same populations and those in juvenile facilities and military quarters at the national level.
A new table on living arrangements (C27021) provides estimates of health coverage status by household/family characteristics. Living arrangement categories include non-family households and three types of family arrangements (married couple, male-householder only, female-householder only).
Income and Earnings
Two new Detailed Tables provide estimates for number of earners in family (B19122) and median earnings for total population 16 years and over who worked full-time, year-round in the past 12 months (B20018).
Modified Tables
Age and Sex
The columns presented in Subject Table S0101 have been updated to include the numbers for total, male, and female populations, while the rows have been updated with age categories for under 18 years and 21 years and over.
The rows presented in Demographic Profile Table DP05 have been updated to include sex ratios for total, 18 years and over, and 65 years and over populations; and age categories for under 18 years and 16 years and over.
Foreign-Born Population
Detailed Table B05006 was modified to include new place of birth code for “St. Martin” (POB=349) under category “Other Caribbean.”
Grandparents
The disability status portion of Subject Table S1001 was removed.
Health Insurance
Income-to-Poverty ratio thresholds changed for the following tables:
Subject Table S1902 was modified to show more detail by source of income. Additional columns were added to show counts matching the percent distribution.
Subject Table S1903 was modified to show more detail for family income. Additional columns were added to show counts matching the percent distribution.
Subject Table S2001 was modified to add more columns showing the count matching the percent distribution.
Marital History
Iterated Base Tables B12007A-I are no longer produced for divisional geographies. The tables are available for national and regional geographies.
