As of the 2018 CPS-ASEC, the sample no longer includes student quarters (college/university dormitories as group quarters). Though this change is not anticipated to affect most migration estimates in appreciable ways, data users making comparisons between tables from 2018 and later to earlier tables are encouraged to be aware of this change, especially when using estimates for age and relationship to householder categories. By age, this change may be most relevant for younger adults, and by relationship to householder, this change may be most relevant for secondary individuals in group quarters.
