In 2014, for the 2014 Current Population Survey Annual Social and Economic Supplement (CPS ASEC), the Census Bureau implemented the redesigned health insurance questions to replace the existing questions in the CPS ASEC. The new questions improve upon the previous questionnaire, capturing more health insurance coverage than the preceding CPS ASEC.
On Friday March 20th, 2015, an Expert Meeting on Income, Poverty, and Health Insurance was held at Census Bureau headquarters in Suitland, Maryland. The event allowed experts to discuss current and forthcoming data relating to these topics, as well as changes to how data is collected and analyzed.
